Who Surrendered Feminism?
A generation ago some wondered who had hijacked liberal feminism and turned it into far-left gender radicalism. Today, the question is who's handing that feminism over to third-world barbarians?
In her 1994 book Who Stole Feminism? Christina Hoff Sommers accused far left activists of highjacking the American women’s movement, previously dominated common sense concerns like legal and political equality, and turning it into a weapon of gender radicalism. In the decades that followed, the radicals surrendered feminism to the most backwards—not to mention genocidal—elements on earth.
Consider the case of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. Bursting into national politics in 2017 as a congressional hopeful talking about red lipstick, she quickly became the model strong womyn and a champion of a progressive laundry list for overgrown girls, from unlimited abortion to daycare subsidies. With The Rolling Stone cover—which she shared with two other non-white newcomers to the House of Representatives and the elderly Nancy Pelosi—multiple media profiles, the Squad hype and a Met Gala appearance, she is perhaps the most publicized politician in the nation.
Gender feminists aligned their movement with the Democrat Party and the Democrat Party decided to put Third World women in charge of feminism. Sommers argued that Americans want a life work balance, the country is suffering from a terrible birth plunge, the streets of our cities are unsafe and schools are horrendous. How does electing AOC’s Squad buddies like the foreign-born Ilhan Omar and the the self-declared Representative from Palestine, Rashida Tlaib help any of that?
While all of that astroturfing was happening, Jewish women were purged from feminism. Mind you, the TV series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel still celebrated a feisty fictional Jewish women’s right pioneer. Because a series like that takes a long time to develop, it remains a relic of the pre-woke era. By the time Mrs Maisel premiered in 2017, the pussy-hatted Women’s March was seized from the Hebrew kind and gifted to the new ethnics, including the hijabi antisemite Linda Sarsour. The arrangement was celebrated by Democrats and the media.
So, of course, it should come as no surprise that the OAC herself donned a headscarf—not the icky chador, but a pretty multicolor loosely fitted one that left much of her hair exposed—to appear at an outdoor Eid prayer gathering in New York City. In Democrat politics, a hijab is the new red lipstick.
The ensuring visual was certainly not what she expected. The Muslim community gifted America with feminist leaders like Omar, Tlaib, Sarsour, not to mention the First Lady of New York City Rama Duwaji, but for some reason the gathering which the congresswoman from Bronx addressed was all-male.
That, in retrospect, should have surprised no one—since Islamic payer, and not only prayer, is segregated by sex, any politico-religious event would be too. And, of course, it’s the male prayer where the community’s real movers and shakers are to be found. If Muslim women had a parallel outdoor prayer event, it was surely deemed not important for the face of American feminism to attend.
To make it worse, the migrants attending the Bronx gathering appeared to pay no attention to the girl on the podium. They turned their backs to her and chatted loudly. Although she spoke with a microphone, AOC’s speech was hard to make out amidst the background noise. Across the fruited plane, Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson did not humiliate herself with a scarf, but she did attend an Eid event for men. The picture she posted captured an equally disrespectful crowd.
In this nation, men-only rallies and Sunday church services were never the norm. A famous 1783 English engraving shows the first reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 8, 1976. The crowd assembled in Philadelphia was mostly male, to be sure, but many women freely mixed with them.
Feminism, too, is hardly an alien ideology in this country. Listen to the Country Music songstresses of the 1960s and 70s—women demanding respect was a major theme in their art. From Loretta Lynn’s divorcee in Rated X to Dolly Parton’s forsaken pregnant girl in Down from Dover to Jeannie C. Riley’s sexy widow in Harper Valley PTA, the most troglodyte musical genre in the land asked for equality.
Instead of celebrating this great tradition, Democrat leadership and the media two-timed American women. Newcomers with no notion of working democracy or equal rights were promoted as feminist figureheads. Mainstream women are told to look up to the likes of the Squad—but why?
To be sure, migrant women and their daughters are not shy about expressing their dislikes—damn be the Western decorum. Look, for instance, at Nerdeen Kiswani, the lady associated with several antizionist NGOs, including Within Our Lifetime and Students for Justice in Palestine. The CUNY Law graduate, Kiswani was right, front, and center of violent antisemitic protests that erupted following the Simchat Torah massacre in southern Israel. She suggested “annihilat[ing]” Israel and executing Jews. Another strong womyn, right?
The hijabi agitator is by no means fighting for women’s equality, certainly not within her own community. Rather, she is performing work for her male elders—the kind of people who have no time for AOC. And yet precisely because she is female, she is perfectly positioned to swim in the currents of American political culture.
Suburban moms should be advised to consider the case of the recent Birmingham City Council banquet. Birmingham, UK, is technically a foreign country, but the phenomenon in question is neither British nor American anyway—it’s Islam in the West. The banquet guests were all Muslim lads who ate halal food with their hands, like Mamdani once did, just to get a rise out of us. That suggests that the Muslima feminists will be sidelined as soon as her community consolidates power, like they did in Birmingham in the latest local election. Kiswani of course knows that, so she lashes out—at you know who.
They might have been branded as such, but the oppression of women within their own tribe is not an issue for any of the newfound ethnic feminists. For one, if that was their concern, they’d be learning from Americans—and, in the age of wokeness, that’s a faux pas.
Omar, for instance, never talks of genital cutting, the sadistic custom affecting Somalian women and girls in the U.S., permanently segregating them from the American mainstream. Why should she if there is no power to be gained or money to be made by overthrowing the Islamic patriarchy?
We know where the money’s at. The Learing Center affair shed light on hundreds of millions of fraud among Omar’s Somalian compatriots in Minnesota. It looks increasingly likely that she enabled the schemes of her newly naturalized constituents.
With Omar, American women get the fairytale of an exotic feminist and Somalians inherit American wealth. As in Somalians in Somalia, including Al Qaida, do—millions have been moved out of the U.S. and some of it poured into the group responsible for the biggest act of terror in American history. In other words, the left taught Third World migrants how to instrumentalize feminism to benefit the single most misogynist culture known to humanity. Naturally, that culture is a hotbed of violent anti-Americanism.
The colored woke darlings themselves dream of white men, the types who grew up in households touched by white feminism and treat women respectfully—“the revolutionary in the streets, colonized in the sheets” phenomenon. I personally don’t like this saying because who is colonizing whom? A Third World woman may feel safe in the arms of a whitie, but they fear and obey their fathers and brothers.
The woke made meaningful feminism go away with intersectionality. Ordinary women of America are taken for granted as if they don’t deserve their own movement.
And that’s too bad. White women always had more freedoms and for over a century they lead the movement for emancipation. It grew too radical, no question about it, but its pathologies are our pathologies and are, in any event, vastly preferable to Islamic political arrangements.
Feminism rightfully belongs to Western civilization and if any foreign-born women deserve a place in it, it’s the ex-Muslims and the Iranians fighting for American-style freedom. Progressive politicians cheated us all out of it.

As with anything on the left, you can expect hypocrisy to be dominant.
No one "surrendered feminism". It was ALWAYS a Marxist bait-and-switch.
