Trump Triumphant (Again)!
The Top 10 takeaways from Trump's historic and gigantic win!
DJT did it. His way. On his terms. And his voters are no doubt ecstatic. I am. Here are some quick reflections on a wild ride from the past four years.
We will immediately see an end to our nation being overwhelmed by illegal, criminal migrants. Many will self-deport, some will be deported by force. A wall will be built and our ports and borders will be secure. Our nation will be treated with respect, and no longer be a dumping-ground for the developing world. Trump spoke in language no politician has ever used before (“largest mass deportation of all time,” etc.) and won big. It’s really quite incredible and something future politicians should learn from.
Winning both the popular vote and the Electoral College by fairly large margins gives Trump a clear mandate to execute his agenda. MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) is no doubt real, and RFK, Jr. is about to take a sledgehammer to Big Pharma. I expect the people will back Trump this time. While I believe they backed him in 2020, he lost for whatever reason, and his 2016 win was only a squeaker. In his first term, he was more or less all alone. But this time around he is in a much, much stronger position. He has forced the GOP to his way of seeing things and now has a large portion of the American people behind him. He is primed to become the most powerful president of my lifetime.
“DEI,” as defined and enforced by progressives, is now a thing of the past! It is certainly not the future. No more Pride flags hanging from the White House. No more degeneracy. Politicians can continue to celebrate these types of things at their own risk. The ordinary middle-American male stood up and voted for Trump because they were tired of being crapped on by Blue-elites and woke scolds. The silent majority has spoken and we will see almost every federal agency, and hopefully state universities, purge this nonsense from their ranks. Thank God, truly.
We can now appreciate that if Trump had won in 2020, we would not have seen the incredibly broad coalition that came together this year. We all saw what the results of what an unconstrained Left produces. A group of patriotic Americans which included Elon, RFK, Vance, Joe Rogan and Tulsi came together in a way that few could have foreseen. (Well, remember when Steve Bannon floated a Trump/RFK ticket? I do. He turned out to be right, but we got something even better.) This diverse coalition places the wind at Trump’s back.
Speaking of Elon, please tell me that the Department of Government Efficiency is real. I was willing to vote for Trump even if it had only a ten percent chance of becoming a reality. What Musk has done to Twitter (not to mention Space X and Tesla) is truly inspiring. Can we actually make the Federal Government efficient? Can it actually be down-sized? Have we really put the bureaucrats on notice?
My son won’t be drafted to fight in a foreign war. I worried that was a real possibility if the leftists continued to win elections. I am hopeful his service in the military–if at all–will now be voluntary. And to combine good news, let’s get the DEI out of the military.
We now know HOW to win. 2020 taught us that we are no longer just debating ideas. Yes, we still need candidates and platforms that inspire, but we also need to get more ballots into ballot boxes. We were blessed to have people show us how to do it: Charlie Kirk, Tyler Bowyer, Cliff Maloney, Scott Presler, and many others showed that we can compete with the left’s GOTV “machine.” If we have the ideas and the muscle, we have a chance for our elections to be about who is the best for the future, and not who can barely squeak by. The Overton Window just shifted “bigly” to the right. Their hard work and strategy is a total game changer, and I truly thank God for them.
It’s time for justice and fairness to prevail. Trump was flagrantly and unjustly pursued to take him off the playing field. It’s time to adjudicate the 2020 shenanigans, address the collusion at federal and state levels that sought to arrest and possibly get Trump killed, and end the political persecutions of Trump supporters or opponents of the Deep State. A Marxist takeover of our country through the courts was just barely averted. That is monumental.
Free speech is back! I had completely underestimated how important it was for Musk to acquire (and fix) Twitter. I get it now. Remember when Trump was banned from social media? We aren’t going back to that reality. The collusion between various social media sites and the Feds has been exposed. Free speech experienced a major win in this election.
Millions have crossed the line and voted for Trump, and it will be hard for the other side to get them back. However, once Elon and Joe Rogan have made the move towards MAGA, they and millions more are far more likely to stay. The left will have to appeal to them in order to win them back. There are now many fewer default liberals. It is even cool to be a conservative now; just ask the UNC frat boys who defended the US flag at a pro-Palestine protest and spoke at the RNC Convention. And everyone knows it is easier to keep a customer than to win one. Trump gets the credit for doing the heavy lifting of winning millions to the cause.
Honorable Mentions
Trump gets another 1-2 Supreme Court justice picks
New Jersey, Minnesota (where even some in Ilham Omar’s Somali community admitted to feeling abandoned by the Dems), and Virginia are now states the left will have to defend, rather than assume as a win
Our election systems aren’t as corrupt as I feared…though we still need in-person voting on a single day with paper ballots. The machines failed again in many places, and I still believe they are hackable
Elon Musk recently posted that “it is morning in America again.” Yes it is. Hopefully Trump’s victory is a sign of a brighter (and more sane) America, one where we're headed to Mars!
