For the sake of our nation’s sanity, it’s time to acknowledge that Wokeism is a religion. It’s not “similar” or “parallel” to a religion; it is one. It’s vital to acknowledge this in order to understand the sectarian violence that its believers are now openly advocating and engaging in.
Webster’s defines religion as “a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith.” We’ve been slow to label Wokeism a religion because religions typically require belief in the existence of things unseen: God, the afterlife, miracles, etc. However, in a bizarre inversion of the usual formula, Wokeism requires disbelief in the existence of things that are seen.
For example, Wokeists believe that a clearly insentient president is sentient; that a wide-open border is a secure border; that it’s fair for female athletes to compete against males; that a person can change their sex; that creating a “Zionist Free Zone” at Columbia University is not antisemitic; and on and on.
Because the tenets of Wokeism are contrary to truths people can plainly see, they’re inarguably false. And since their tenets are indefensible, Wokeists must rely on the tyrannical power of government to control speech in order to prevent non-Wokeists from expressing “heretical” ideas. That’s why their response to losing control of our government has been both hysterical and violent as non-Wokeists are once again free to voice simple truths – such as a person cannot change their sex – which Wokeists regard as vile heresies.
With Trump once again in the White House, the Wokeists’ overt turn toward sectarian violence is accelerating. During a recent podcast, increasingly unhinged Wokeist strategist, James Carville, disturbingly, “…invoked the Nazis and suggested that anyone who ‘collaborated’ with President Donald Trump might eventually suffer the same fate as those who’d cooperated with brutal German dictator Adolf Hitler”
Also, a recent study by the Network of Contagion Research Institute titled, “Assassination Culture: How Burning Teslas and Killing Billionaires Became a Meme Aesthetic for Political Violence” found that fifty-five percent of self-identified leftists thought murdering Trump would be somewhat justifiable; forty-eight percent said the same of Elon Musk. It concluded that an “assassination culture” appears to be “emerging within segments of the U.S. public on the extreme left, with expanding targets now including figures such as Donald Trump.”
“These attitudes are not fringe – they reflect an emergent assassination culture, grounded in far-left authoritarianism and increasingly normalized in digital discourse,” the report declares.
Perhaps most disturbingly of all, there is currently a proposed ballot initiative in California named after UnitedHealthcare CEO, Brian Thompson’s, alleged assassin. The Luigi Mangione Access to Health Care Act would make it illegal for an insurance company to “delay, deny, or modify any medical procedure or medication that is suggested by a licensed physician” under certain circumstances. “The words ‘delay, deny, and depose’ were reportedly inscribed on the casings of the bullets that killed Brian Thompson on December 4.”
These violent attitudes can best be understood as devout Wokeists advocating sectarian violence, which is defined as, “conflict between and among groups with a specific ethnicity or religion. The conflict may have numerous causes, but the result is violence based on ethnic/religious differences.”
The best evidence it’s considered sectarian violence is that those protesting Trump and Musk can’t rationally explain what exactly it is they’re protesting. When asked for an explanation, they blather Kamala-style about “fascists” and “threats to democracy,” but can’t give a reasonable explanation for their actions because Wokeism – the belief that things people can clearly see are not in fact real – is irrational. And, as a result, though It’s a matter of fervent religious faith for them, Wokeists know that Wokeism is utterly inexplicable to the rational.
But despite everyone knowing that their motives are irrational, the firebombings/ drive-by shootings targeting Tesla and the threats against the administration and its supporters will continue because Wokeists know that Trump and Musk are heretics working to dismantle Wokeism and, therefore, must be opposed. After all, just as every crazed religious fanatic knows, heretics must be persecuted.

“Assassination culture”? Is this how you normalize and collectivize sociopathy? I guess if there’s rape culture (another term that never made much sense to me), there can be assassination culture, terrorism culture, self-mutilation culture…
I have to assume that the people who partake in this stuff are either paid to do it or are in an incredibly dark place psychologically. Either way, there’s little common ground for a decent person to traverse and empathize in some way.
It’s all just irrational and destructive. Legal repercussions have to happen and we need to push more aggressively when we see this stuff. Why doesn’t anyone intervene?
And a religion of the worst kind. I associate it with tyrannical communism. The people who resort to this type of dangerous dishonest and criminal behavior are the ones who create the mass genocides and other historical horrors of this world. They are attempting to overthrow both democracy and this country - and they should be treated as such. I have nothing but distain for those who even support his behavior.
